December 3-5, 2010: This weekend is a PHENOMINAL weeked for art in MIAMI!

The weather couldn't have come more on board to enjoy the exciting and amazing art that will be in display around town!!!  If you haven't already made plans to take in some dynamic Miami art along with the best of the best from national and international galleries-who have made arrangements to come to town- here are some ideas for places you can go.

The word around town is Art Basel.  Its reputation as the best art show in the nation is enough to lure in any art enthusiast.  The Miami Beach Convention Center used to house ArtMiami, some time ago (an art show with the similar concept of bringing in some of the best national and international galleries.... and their best artists).  Now it houses Art Basel, a sister art show to the most prestigious worldwide art extravaganza in Switzerland. Here is visitor information for Art Basel .  You could also click on more of their links for cost of entrance, parking, location, etc.  (They have childcare available too- I just read it)  Now, here's the kicker, it will buzz with the elite crowd of collectors, investors, gallery owners, and such - all of whom will surely have VIP access, but the price is sure to read VIP for the lay audience, as well.  Be prepared to pay $36 a person for a day pass, $20 if you are attending from 4pm onward.  There is parking to consider as well, and then of course refreshment (the proverbial glass of wine in hand could set you back another double digit amount)

Personally, I am partial to ArtMiami- which switched venues from the Miami Beach Convention Center to Midtown some years ago.  ArtMiami is held in a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot pavilion that will feature European style cafes serving delectable cuisine as well as  an exclusive VIP lounge. There will be ample parking available through the use of a new four-story parking garage with 2,000 spots, located directly across the street from the Art Miami Pavilion. Convenient Valet parking is also available.  You can look at their visitor information for more on location and parking.  This admission is $15 per person.

Not too far from ArtMiami is, Fountain Art Fair promising great music, drinks, and an avante-gard flair. The admission for this one is $10. It is located at 2505 N. Miami Ave at the corner of 25th St. Miami FL, which is very close to  Midtown (throughout Midtown are various smaller galleries who will be displaying art also).  ArtMiami is located at Art Miami Pavilion | Midtown Miami - Wynwood 3101 NE 1st Avenue.

Be blessed! Be Inspired!
